This popular idiom carries more weight than meets the eye. We’ve all heard that eating red meat is bad for you and with more and more headlines suggesting that people seek meat substitutes; I must admit I’m getting a bit worried that the media may be causing consumer paranoia.

Next week I am scheduled to do a lecture to about 300 doctors at the annual American Academy of Anti-Aging in Thailand (A4M). The theme of my lecture is advising how supplements including Omega 3 fish oil are made and the important points that they need to be aware of selecting supplements to supply to their patients.

Maybe, if this article in the New York Times is to be believed. It mentions that The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently released a report showing that scenes of smoking in high-grossing films fell to 1,935 “incidents” last year, down 49 percent from a recent peak of 3,967 in 2005.

I thought that I would share with you a question that was put to me personally. I felt it was a valid one and put to me in good faith. In light of the article that I did earlier today about doctors being prepared to see their patient die...I thought that the timing of it was quite appropriate.

Even if at home we are able to satisfy a good routine of looking after out health through daily supplementation, proper food, fluids, exercise, and lifestyle...when on holiday the last thing anyone wants is to be plagued by illness.

Last night on the TV program 60 Minutes here in New Zealand there was a well documented case about the experience of a New Zealand farmer who contracted a bad case of swine flu. For some unknown reason he got extremely sick and had to be put on a life support system.

Five weeks since its release, the thought-provoking movie “Inception” is still trending on Twitter. The movie’s success may be credited to the actors and visual effects, but I think that Inception’s popularity really comes down to its fascinating theme…dreams.

I have been a practicing integrated medicine physician since 1986. In all those years I have not found another nutritional product like omega 3 fish oil supplements. In my opinion, the evidence for its use every day is substantial.
